MD/MS/MDS/Diploma Admission Notification, Session-2012 under 50% D.U. Quota

1. It is notified for all concerned that the University of Delhi will NOT conduct Post-graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET) for admission to MD/MS/MDS/Diploma courses under 50% DU Quota for the Session-2012.

2. Instead, admission to Post-graduate Medical Courses for all categories will be made on the basis of the merit obtained by students in the All India Post-graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) to be held on Sunday, the 8th January, 2012 and last date to apply for AIPGMEE – 2012 is 21.12.2011.

3. Delhi University Medical/Dental Graduates and Interns who are likely to complete Internship Training on or before 31st March, 2012 from University of Delhi MUST apply and appear in the AIPGMEE-2012 to be eligible for admission to MD/MS/MDS/Diploma courses under 50% DU Quota.

4. Eligible candidates MUST ALSO apply in prescribed Application Form to the Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 to be available w.e.f. 29th December, 2011 to 21st January, 2012.

5. Application Form availability:
(i) By Hand – from the office of the Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V.P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 between 09:30 A.M. to 03:00 P.M. on all working days from 29th December, 2011 to 21st January, 2012.
(ii) By Post –by sending, to the above address, a self-addressed envelope of 10″x8″ up to 14th January, 2012.
(iii) By downloading the Application Form from the Faculty website www.fmsc.ac.in, duly filling it in, and submitting it, complete in all respects, with requisite Demand Draft/ Banker’s Cheque by 21st January, 2012.

6. Application form Price:
For General and OBC category candidates: Rs. Two Thousand Only (2,000/- By Hand), Rs. Two Thousand and Fifty Only (2,050/- By Post)
For SC/ST/PH category candidates: Rs. One Thousand and Five Hundred Only (1,500/- By Hand), Rs. One Thousand Five Hundred and Fifty Only (1,550/- By Post)

Mode of payment: Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn on any nationalized Bank in favour of ‘Registrar, University of Delhi’ payable at Delhi.

No cash payment will be accepted.

7. The Counselling for allotment of MD/MS/MDS/Diploma seats for the Session-2012 under 50% DU Quota will be conducted based on the merit list prepared by Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi using the marks obtained in AIPGMEE-2012 (details in the Bulletin of Information and as displayed on the Faculty Web-site: www.fmsc.ac.in).

Note: (1) The candidate MUST apply and appear in AIPGMEE-2012 and MUST also apply to the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi, Delhi-110007 on or before 21st January, 2012 to be eligible for consideration of admission to Post-graduate Medical Courses under 50% DU Quota.
(2) The Faculty of Medical Sciences will NOT consider any candidate who has not appeared in the AIPGMEE-2012.
(3) Candidates are required to preserve AIPGMEE-2012 roll number/admit card until the counselling for 50% DU quota admissions is concluded.
